FieldTrace privacy

Updated October 16, 2026

Measurements stay on your device

FieldTrace stores measurement records, notes and saved reports locally. No account is required for local capture and review. Deleting the app can remove its local data; export a backup first.

Permissions follow the session

Motion data supports vibration and placement checks. Microphone access supports sound analysis; saving original audio is a separate opt-in. Location access supports vehicle speed analysis; saved vehicle records contain speed, timing and accuracy rather than latitude and longitude.

Sharing is your choice

PDF, CSV and backup files can include object names, notes, recorded signals and saved attachments. Review them before exporting. Their storage and sharing then depend on the destination you choose.

Network and support

Optional template catalogs contact the source you request. This static website uses no advertising tracker or newsletter form. Hosting providers may process ordinary access and security logs. Release-note links open the MonoWare blog, whose privacy policy applies there. If you email support, the information you send is used to respond.
